Privacy policy
Star In A Game is run by [your name or business name], [address]. Contact: starinagamenow@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
- The photo you upload. We use it only to draw the game character and its moves. We send it to OpenAI in the USA, which draws them for us. We delete our copy as soon as the last picture is drawn, or after 2 hours if you don't finish paying. OpenAI may keep what it receives for up to 30 days to check for misuse, and says it does not use it to train its AI. [Check this against OpenAI's current API terms.] We don't use your photo for anything else, and we don't use it to identify anyone.
- The hero's name and the game character pictures. We keep these so your game link keeps working. They can be seen by anyone who has the link. Links are long random codes and are not listed anywhere.
- Your email address. We use it to send your game link and to deal with any problems with your order. We don't send marketing emails.
- Payment. Stripe handles payments. We never see your card details.
Who else handles your data
Stripe (payments), OpenAI (drawing the character), Supabase (storage, servers in London) and Resend (email). [Check each provider's data-processing terms and where they store data.]
Your rights
You can ask us to delete your game and email address at any time by emailing starinagamenow@gmail.com. You also have the right to see the data we hold about you, and to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Our legal basis
We use your data to fulfil your order (contract). Photos of other people are uploaded on the buyer's promise that the person has agreed.
